MMA: JEWELS Fighter Saori Ishioka - "Why do we fight?"
Lately I've been thinking - why do I do MMA? After all, I get asked so much. To tell the truth, I trained MMA for three years without ever really thinking about why, and even now I don't know the exact answer, but I'm getting a better idea. I actually have other dreams in life, like of opening a cafe in the future. To accomplish my dreams, I need to be strong, not just physically, but inside also. If you aren't strong it's hard to convince people of anything - you have to set an example. That's how you get people to follow you and make your dreams come true.
That was my conclusion, that without strength, even fixable situations can't be fixed. People, myself included, are weak beings. This is the reason that I practice martial arts, so i can continue to become even stronger for as long as I train.
I still have many concerns and am still really only a beginner, but this is exactly why I have to keep on training!
Ossu!
